Oregon court rules & publisher orders

Search a rule number or topic in circuit-court local rules and statewide UTCR. County filters select sources; they do not determine the court, venue or applicable law.

36 Oregon counties · 27 local rulebooks · 24 UTCR chapter PDFs

Machine-extracted or machine-OCR source text, not independently validated legal requirements. Later amendments, case orders, exceptions, signatures, service, fees and deadlines require original-source review. Reserved and repealed chapters do not create requirements.

Reserved and repealed-only chapters are retained as such. Amendment and supplemental orders are searched separately because their extracted text may include deleted or superseded provisions. Some scans have machine OCR, visibly labeled and unreviewed. Remaining scans have original-source links only. Verify all text and amendment markings in the PDF.

All 36 counties have a mapped SLR rulebook. Supplemental orders remain incomplete. A zero below means no retained order in this collection; it does not mean that the court has no orders. OCR counts are machine-recognized documents, not legal review.

PRESIDING JUDGE ORDER NO. 26-007

Case: D24PJO1

ORDER FOR OREGON STATE POLICE TO
RELEASE RECORDS SEALED UNDER
ORS 137.225

The court hereby issues a Standing Order for the Oregon State Police to reopen and
disclose to the Grant and Harney District Attorney’s Office any an all records sealed under
ORS 137.225 for the limited purpose of assisting the investigations of a movant, for a specific
petition, to set aside pursuant to ORS 137.225(7)(b) and ORS 1337.225(5)(a)(A)(ii).
Thereafter, the files and records shall be resealed by Oregon State Police and the District
Attorney’s office shall destroy any records obtained once the petition at issue is resolved.
The Court finds good cause for Oregon State Police to release any and all records sealed
under ORS 137.225 because consideration of previously set aside convictions is mandated
by the statute. Under ORS 137.225(7)(b), “a conviction that has been set aside under this
section shall be considered for the purpose of determining whether this paragraph is
applicable” (emphasis added). Under ORS 137.225(5)(a)(A)(ii), “a conviction, arrest, citation
or charge that has been set aside under this section shall be considered for the purpose of
determining whether this subparagraph is applicable” (emphasis added). Given the
mandatory language of the statute, good cause exists for each and every motion to set aside
filed before this Court.
