Oregon court rules & publisher orders

Search a rule number or topic in circuit-court local rules and statewide UTCR. County filters select sources; they do not determine the court, venue or applicable law.

36 Oregon counties · 27 local rulebooks · 24 UTCR chapter PDFs

Machine-extracted or machine-OCR source text, not independently validated legal requirements. Later amendments, case orders, exceptions, signatures, service, fees and deadlines require original-source review. Reserved and repealed chapters do not create requirements.

Reserved and repealed-only chapters are retained as such. Amendment and supplemental orders are searched separately because their extracted text may include deleted or superseded provisions. Some scans have machine OCR, visibly labeled and unreviewed. Remaining scans have original-source links only. Verify all text and amendment markings in the PDF.

County coverage and remaining source gaps

All 36 counties have a mapped SLR rulebook. Supplemental orders remain incomplete. A zero below means no retained order in this collection; it does not mean that the court has no orders. OCR counts are machine-recognized documents, not legal review.

SLR 2.031 — DESIGNATION OF KNOWN PARTIES BY FICTITIOUS NAME

Washington County Supplementary Local Rules (2026) · physical PDF page 7–8 · 2026

2.031 DESIGNATION OF KNOWN PARTIES BY FICTITIOUS NAME

In civil actions, the designation of a known party by a name other than the party’s true
name shall be allowed only upon a motion and declaration establishing good cause, and
an order of the court. In determining whether to designate a known party by a name
other than the party’s true name, the court may consider whether the moving party is a
minor, whether the moving party was the victim of child abuse, whether the moving
party was the victim of sexual abuse or assault, or any other criteria that warrant
pseudonymous litigation.

If ordered, the designation of such party shall be by use of such party’s initials or a
fictitious name other than “Jane Doe” or “John Doe.” The name “Jane Doe” or “John
Doe” is reserved to be used for a party whose identity is unknown and the party is being
designated as provided in ORCP 20 H.
