Oregon court rules & publisher orders

Search a rule number or topic in circuit-court local rules and statewide UTCR. County filters select sources; they do not determine the court, venue or applicable law.

36 Oregon counties · 27 local rulebooks · 24 UTCR chapter PDFs

Machine-extracted or machine-OCR source text, not independently validated legal requirements. Later amendments, case orders, exceptions, signatures, service, fees and deadlines require original-source review. Reserved and repealed chapters do not create requirements.

Reserved and repealed-only chapters are retained as such. Amendment and supplemental orders are searched separately because their extracted text may include deleted or superseded provisions. Some scans have machine OCR, visibly labeled and unreviewed. Remaining scans have original-source links only. Verify all text and amendment markings in the PDF.

County coverage and remaining source gaps

All 36 counties have a mapped SLR rulebook. Supplemental orders remain incomplete. A zero below means no retained order in this collection; it does not mean that the court has no orders. OCR counts are machine-recognized documents, not legal review.

Case: D24PJO1

ORDER ESTABLISHING ELECTRONIC
RECORDING AND PHOTOGRAPHY
RESTRICTIONS

The Court, having determined that preserving courtroom order, decorum, security, and the
privacy of judicial proceedings is essential to the fair administration of justice, further finds
that the proliferation of personal electronic devices has created concerns regarding
distraction, confidentiality, and the unauthorized distribution of court proceedings. The
Court preserves all court proceedings by means of an electronic record. To address these
concerns and to establish uniform restrictions governing audio, video, photographic,
streaming, and electronic-writing activities within courthouse premises, the Court hereby
orders:
1. Prohibited Conduct Without Permission
The following activities are expressly prohibited in the courthouse without prior express
permission from the elected official responsible for that area, (e.g. Circuit Court Judge,
District Attorney, County Judge/Commissioners, County Clerk, Assessor/Tax Collector,
Treasurer, Sheriff):
• Electronic audio recording
• Electronic video recording
• Live or deferred electronic streaming
• Electronic writing or notetaking (beyond permitted use by counsel and
court staff)
• Photography
2. Expressed Permission—Application and Approval
