Oregon court rules & publisher orders

Search a rule number or topic in circuit-court local rules and statewide UTCR. County filters select sources; they do not determine the court, venue or applicable law.

36 Oregon counties · 27 local rulebooks · 24 UTCR chapter PDFs

Machine-extracted or machine-OCR source text, not independently validated legal requirements. Later amendments, case orders, exceptions, signatures, service, fees and deadlines require original-source review. Reserved and repealed chapters do not create requirements.

Reserved and repealed-only chapters are retained as such. Amendment and supplemental orders are searched separately because their extracted text may include deleted or superseded provisions. Some scans have machine OCR, visibly labeled and unreviewed. Remaining scans have original-source links only. Verify all text and amendment markings in the PDF.

County coverage and remaining source gaps

All 36 counties have a mapped SLR rulebook. Supplemental orders remain incomplete. A zero below means no retained order in this collection; it does not mean that the court has no orders. OCR counts are machine-recognized documents, not legal review.

Lane County Supplementary Local Rules (2026) · physical PDF page 18 · 2026

7.031 COMMERCIAL COURT

(1) Assignment to Commercial Court

A party or the court may move to have a case assigned to the Commercial Court. The presiding judge
or the presiding judge’s designee shall hear the motion. The ruling on the motion is final and is not
subject to review or appeal, except that the presiding judge or the presiding judge’s designee may, for
good cause shown, remove a case from Commercial Court.

(2) Cases Filed in Other Judicial Districts

A party to a case filed in another judicial district who seeks assignment to the Commercial Court shall
first confer with the other parties and the Lane County presiding judge or designee to determine whether
the case is appropriate for assignment to the Commercial Court. That party shall then apply for change
of venue pursuant to ORS 14.110(1)(c). The Lane County presiding judge shall consult with the
presiding judge of the originating district prior to a ruling on the motion for change of venue. After the
change of venue has been completed, that party shall move to have the case assigned to the Commercial
Court pursuant to section (1) of this rule.
