General Order 03-03
This matter comes before the court on it's own motion:
WHEREAS ORS 4198.812 allows the court to designate that aparcnt appear
personally before the court at atrme and place specified in the summons for a
hearing on the allegations of the petition;
WHEREAS ORS 4198.812 states that if the court does not direct the type of
response required by the summons under subsection (2) of this statute, the
sunrmons shall require the parent to respond with written answer to the petition
within 30 days from the date the parent is served with the summons;
WHEREAS it has always been the policy of this court to require a parent appear
\- personally before the court in response to a summons in a Dependency matter;
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED:
That any summons issued pursuant to ORS 419B.812 shall state "That the parent
appear personally before the court at the time and place specified in the sunrmons
for a hearing on the allegations of the petition."
