COCC Student Relief Fund: emergency and child-care assistance request
Central Oregon Community College · Shared Oregon or institution-specific route
Term-based emergency and child-care assistance process for eligible Central Oregon Community College students, with limited funds and supporting-document requirements.
Confirm current availability: Published process; current funding balance, application acceptance and any award must be confirmed with the college.
How to apply: start, prepare, submit and follow up
Amount or support
Awards and allowable costs depend on the published program limits, the request and available funding; no amount or current balance is promised.
Start here: Log in to Bobcat Portal, then Student > Financial Aid and Funding > Financial Aid. Review current criteria and submit the applicable emergency or child-care request with supporting evidence.
1. Is this for me?
Generally degree/certificate-seeking COCC students enrolled in at least 6 credits with completed FAFSA/ORSAA and satisfactory academic progress. OSU dual-admit students are excluded. Ask the office about any narrow degree-completion exception.
Service area: Oregon; confirm program-specific location and institution requirements.
2. What should I prepare?
Some documents may be conditional. Ask about alternatives. Checkmarks are temporary and are not saved or sent.
3. Where and how do I submit?
Log in to Bobcat Portal, then Student > Financial Aid and Funding > Financial Aid. Review current criteria and submit the applicable emergency or child-care request with supporting evidence.
- Log in to Bobcat Portal, then Student > Financial Aid and Funding > Financial Aid. Review current criteria and submit the applicable emergency or child-care request with supporting evidence.
- Check the provider’s current intake status and any requested evidence or follow-up.
- Monitor your college communications and confirm the decision and distribution process; submitting a request does not establish an award.
Timing: The source states complete applications submitted by Sunday midnight are considered for review the following week; confirm the current term process.
4. What will it cost?
No application-fee requirement is stated in the retained fund overview. This is a restricted assistance route; the provider determines allowable expenses, award amount and available funding.
5. What happens after I submit?
Monitor your college email and application account for requests, the decision and any distribution instructions. A request does not establish approval, an award amount or a disbursement date. The source describes weekly committee review and a college-email decision; confirm the current term schedule.
6. What if something goes wrong?
Contact the administering college team about missing evidence, enrollment/academic eligibility or an expense excluded by the fund. Ask about other support routes if this fund is closed or does not fit the need.
Language, disability and offline help
Ask the college about language, disability and online-application assistance or an alternative way to complete the request; specific accommodations need confirmation.
Choose your step and follow-up instructions
Work through the existing instructions for this route. Reviewing a step does not complete a legal requirement.
Funding is limited and not offered in summer. Credit load, need, allowable expense and child-care caps affect awards. Most already-paid expenses, credit-card debt and loans are generally excluded; child-care treatment differs. Preparation prompts do not replace the complete current institutional requirements.
