University of Oregon: 2026–27 childcare reimbursement program
University of Oregon Basic Needs Program · Shared Oregon or institution-specific route
Application and subsequent claims process for eligible UO student parents/caregivers, with recurring/non-recurring cost tracks, approved-provider rules and funding-dependent reimbursement.
Confirm current availability: Published program/application route. Confirm current funding, intake and the exact eligibility/expense rules; no award or payment is assured.
How to apply: start, prepare, submit and follow up
Amount or support
Program-specific caps, eligible expenses and current funding control the actual assistance; no amount or current balance is promised.
Start here: Read the 2026–27 guidelines and choose the appropriate recurring or non-recurring track. Apply through the linked Engage form; only after program admission submit the required term or monthly claims and supporting records.
1. Is this for me?
UO students meeting enrollment and incidental-fee rules and applicable child/provider criteria. Fall/winter/spring generally require at least one credit; summer has different rules. Eligibility for general Basic Needs services does not itself establish subsidy eligibility.
Service area: Oregon; confirm program-specific location and institution requirements.
2. What should I prepare?
Some documents may be conditional. Ask about alternatives. Checkmarks are temporary and are not saved or sent.
3. Where and how do I submit?
Read the 2026–27 guidelines and choose the appropriate recurring or non-recurring track. Apply through the linked Engage form; only after program admission submit the required term or monthly claims and supporting records.

- Check the provider’s current program/term instructions and any cost, reimbursement or repayment conditions before relying on assistance.
- Keep the application or claim confirmation and monitor provider communications; resolve requests for information and confirm any actual award/distribution.
Timing: Published application period July 10, 2026–June 30, 2027 if funding allows. Claims have separate deadlines; read the current program-year instructions.
4. What will it cost?
This is partial reimbursement subject to program-year, age-based and approved-cost caps. The participant fronts applicable childcare/provider-screening costs. Application fees/deposits beyond ordinary weekly charges and other excluded costs are not reimbursable under the published rules.
5. What happens after I submit?
After program admission, submit the required term or monthly claims under your selected track. Monitor eligibility and provider approvals, keep receipts and confirm the claim deadline and actual reimbursement.
6. What if something goes wrong?
Contact the program if the form is inaccessible or the request is returned/incomplete. Ask which alternate route or next cycle applies; a help request does not establish eligibility or extend a published application deadline.
Language, disability and offline help
Ask the provider about language, disability and offline application assistance. Specific accommodations and staff response times need confirmation.
Choose your step and follow-up instructions
Work through the existing instructions for this route. Reviewing a step does not complete a legal requirement.
Funding capacity can create a waitlist. The source describes partial reimbursement with age-based caps; it does not pay every expense. No retroactive claim for months before application. Application fees/deposits beyond ordinary weekly costs and private school tuition are excluded under the published rules. Preparation prompts do not replace the complete current application requirements.
