Prepare to use Cascades West Ride Line medical rides and mileage reimbursement
Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments · Benton, Lincoln, Linn counties
Ride scheduling, reimbursement guidance and member portal assistance for the Linn, Benton and Lincoln region.
Where and how to proceed: prepare, file and follow up
Start here: First-time riders call Ride Line. Existing clients may use its member portal within the published advance-booking rules; mileage requests must be called in.
1. Is this for me?
Eligible OHP/IHN clients traveling to covered appointments; Ride Line verifies current coverage.
Service area: Benton, Lincoln, Linn counties
2. What should I prepare?
Some documents may be conditional. Ask about alternatives. Checkmarks are temporary and are not saved or sent.
3. Where and how do I submit?
First-time riders call Ride Line. Existing clients may use its member portal within the published advance-booking rules; mileage requests must be called in.
- First-time riders call Ride Line. Existing clients may use its member portal within the published advance-booking rules; mileage requests must be called in.
- Prepare your pickup address, appointment location and time, coverage information and mobility needs for the eligibility check.
- Use a call for reimbursement, same-day, next-day, weekend or holiday requests. The member portal has separate advance-booking limits; the general help form does not schedule transportation.
- Ask for approval before the appointment, retain confirmation and follow the current verification/receipt instructions. Cancel or update a trip promptly.
Timing: Contact the program before travel. Booking windows, approval and claim-submission deadlines vary; use the current provider instructions and any notice addressed to you.
4. What will it cost?
Ask the responsible program to confirm that your trip or support is covered before booking or paying. An arranged ride, mileage claim and public-transit fare have different rules; this guide does not establish individual coverage or reimbursement.
5. What happens after I submit?
Keep the approval or booking confirmation, return-trip arrangement and any provider-required visit verification or receipts. Ask whom to contact if the ride is late, canceled or the appointment changes.
6. What if something goes wrong?
Contact the responsible transportation program about a missed ride or denied request. Ask for the written reason and any complaint, review or appeal instructions. Read a notice promptly; a phone call does not automatically preserve a deadline.
Language, disability and offline help
Tell the program about mobility equipment, an attendant or car-seat need and ask about interpretation or a phone-based alternative to an online request. Confirm the assistance it can actually provide.
Choose your step and follow-up instructions
Work through the existing instructions for this route. Reviewing a step does not complete a legal requirement.
The general contact form cannot book rides. Portal requests require more than 72 business hours; short-notice and mileage requests require a call. Approval, drivers and safe weather conditions affect availability.
