FACT Oregon: parent special-education support line and IEP toolkits: practical steps
FACT Oregon · Shared Oregon or applicable federal route
Parent-staffed FACT Oregon support line for disability and special-education questions, with English/Spanish contact routes and practical IEP and early-childhood toolkits.
Where and how to proceed: prepare, file and follow up
Start here: Write down the education or disability question and any upcoming school/agency deadline so the support conversation can focus on a concrete next step.
1. Is this for me?
Oregon families seeking help with a child or youth's disability or special education, including understanding meetings, paperwork and questions for the school. FACT supports families; it does not decide school eligibility.
Service area: Oregon or applicable federal route; confirm venue and agency jurisdiction.
2. What should I prepare?
Some documents may be conditional. Ask about alternatives. Checkmarks are temporary and are not saved or sent.
3. Where and how do I submit?
Call or text 503-786-6082 or 541-695-5416, email support@factoregon.org or apoyo@factoregon.org, or use the linked support scheduling option. Review the IEP preparation and other family toolkits before the conversation.

Timing: Support line usually responds within 48-72 hours. Confirm a scheduled conversation and pursue any separate school/agency deadline independently.
4. What will it cost?
The reviewed support page does not publish a fee schedule for an individual conversation. Confirm any charge for a separate event or service; no paid legal representation or financial award is established.
5. What happens after I submit?
FACT says it usually responds within 48-72 hours. Keep your contact information current and follow up if needed; that interval is not an emergency-response promise.
6. What if something goes wrong?
FACT does not decide eligibility or replace a school/agency filing. If a deadline is approaching, pursue the appropriate school, agency or qualified legal-help route independently.
