Clackamas County: prepare, file and track circuit-court papers
Oregon Judicial Department / Clackamas County Circuit Court · Clackamas counties
County-specific court, forms and local-rule links plus practical filing, fee-assistance, service and follow-up navigation for self-represented circuit-court users.
Where and how to proceed: prepare, file and follow up
Start here: Open the local court page and confirm the correct court, location and current filing-counter contact before traveling or mailing documents.
1. Is this for me?
People handling a matter in Clackamas County Circuit Court. Confirm venue and case type; these instructions do not cover federal, Tribal, municipal or justice-court filings.
Service area: Clackamas counties
2. What should I prepare?
Some documents may be conditional. Ask about alternatives. Checkmarks are temporary and are not saved or sent.
3. Where and how do I submit?
OJD lists mail, in-person and eFile options for self-represented users. Use the local court contact and case-specific instructions to confirm the correct destination and accepted method for this document.
- Open the local court page and confirm the correct court, location and current filing-counter contact before traveling or mailing documents.
- Use the local forms navigation and current Supplementary Local Rules together with the statewide form instructions; check the printed revision and any required local attachments.
- OJD describes mail, in-person and electronic filing options for self-represented users. Confirm the accepted method for your particular document and court; creating an online form does not itself establish filing.
- Check the current fee schedule. If requesting a waiver or deferral, use the official packet and ask the clerk how to submit it with your filing; the eFile FAQ and 2026 UTCR contain inconsistent instructions.
- Follow the packet and applicable rules for service, confidential information and signatures. Uploading or delivering a document to court does not by itself establish service on another party.
- Keep copies and your filing receipt or electronic envelope number. For eFile, check acceptance or rejection and follow the court response; contact the court promptly about missing instructions, rejected papers or hearing notices.
Timing: Use your notice and the applicable case-specific rules. No personal deadline, mailing deadline, extension or filing-date calculation is supplied. Check current counter hours and electronic acceptance requirements.
4. What will it cost?
Check the current statewide fee schedule and official waiver/deferral packet. The OJD eFile FAQ and 2026 UTCR 21.050(2) give inconsistent waiver-submission directions; confirm current filing instructions with the court. No fee amount or waiver approval is assumed.
5. What happens after I submit?
Keep the filed copy, receipt or electronic envelope number. Monitor acceptance or rejection and court notices. Sending papers or completing a form does not establish that the court accepted the filing or that service on another party is complete.
6. What if something goes wrong?
Read rejection instructions promptly and contact the court about correction procedure. Do not assume a rejected submission, help request or complaint extends a deadline. Ask a lawyer about time-sensitive legal options.

Language, disability and offline help
Ask the receiving office about language assistance, disability accommodations and an alternative to online submission. Available options have not been separately verified for this route.
Choose your step and follow-up instructions
Work through the existing instructions for this route. Reviewing a step does not complete a legal requirement.
Source-navigation review of captured court pages, not a complete review of all local rules, case types or filing requirements. County procedural-review tasks remain open. The 2026 UTCR 21.050(2) permits an accompanying waiver/deferral request while the OJD eFile FAQ says such applications cannot be eFiled; confirm current operational instructions with the court. Do not use this guide to select a claim or waive rights.
